DIRECTIONS TO ZULU NYALA GAME LODGE
Coming from Johannesburg:
Depart Johannesburg on the R22/N12 highway towards eMalahleni (Witbank).
Approximately 100 kms from Johannesburg take the Balmoral/Ogies off ramp. Go right, at the T junction turn left and at the three way stop turn right. Continue straight along through Bethal (R545), Ermelo (R29), Piet Retief (N2) and Pongola (N2). From Pongola travel 102 kms to Southern Maputaland/Sodwana Bay/Phinda/Zulu Nyala turn off, turn left off the N2. At the T-Junction turn right. Travel 4.4 km, Zulu Nyala Heritage Safari Lodge is on your right.
To go to the Zulu Nyala Game Lodge, 1 km before the Heritage Safari Lodge, turn left across the railway line, travel a further 3.5 km to find Zulu Nyala Game Lodge on the left.
Coming from Durban:
From Durban take the N2 Highway North past Empangeni, Richards Bay, Mtubatuba and Hluhluwe until you reach the Southern Maputaland/Sodwana Bay/Phinda/Zulu Nyala turn off.
Turn right over the N2 highway to the T-junction then follow ZULU NYALA sign and turn right onto gravel road (do NOT go left to Sodwana). Travel slowly – the gravel is loose and slippery
Approximately 4.4 kms down the gravel road you will see the Heritage Safari Lodge (green roof or lots of lights at night)
To go to the Game Lodge, 1 km before the Heritage Safari Lodge, turn left over railway line, road sign shows Zulu Nyala and Msinene. Watch out for trains.
After approximately 3,5 kms turn left through main gate to Zulu Nyala Game Lodge (there is always a game guard on duty).
Follow signs to Lodge for approximately 2,4 kms.
