Depart Johannesburg, head to Maun to catch a scenic flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Undertake Mokoro (traditional dug out canoes) rides through the winding channels and Nature Walks in this beautiful area. Then it's off through the Caprivi Strip to Chobe National Park where game viewing from the boats is a real treat. End the tour in the adventure capital of Africa, Victoria Falls.

Tour Details


Day 1:

We depart Johannesburg heading north to Botswana. After border formalities we continue towards Palapye, previously know as Phalatswe, where we’ll spend our first night. Palapye is located on the banks of the Lotsane River. Included meals: Lunch & Dinner
Days 2 to 3:

Our journey takes us through to Maun. We arrive in the afternoon where we leave our truck behind, board our planes, and head into the Delta. After a wonderful scenic flight we arrive at our base for the next two days. During our time in the Delta we enjoy the best nature has to offer. We go on nature walks and explore the Delta by mokoro. The Delta is truly spectacular and unforgettable experience. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4:

After our scenic flight out, we leave the Delta behind us and travel east to Gweta. Gweta is located halfway between Maun and Nata, close to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 5:

Today we head north to Kasane, on the banks of the Chobe River. Apart from being the 2nd biggest National Park in Botswana, Chobe National Park is renowned for its high population of migratory elephants. The afternoon is spent game viewing on a boat cruise, into the renowned Chobe National Park. This is an excellent opportunity to view some of Africa’s spectacular wildlife. You also have the chance to experience an early morning game drive the next day. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 6:

After crossing into Zimbabwe, we arrive at our final destination of Victoria Falls. This afternoon we will go visit the spectacular Victoria Falls and experience the thundering sound of the mighty Zambezi. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks. Optional Activities: Chobe morning Game Drive, Zambezi Sunset Cruise, Dinner Out. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 7:

Tour ends. Most people will spend the day white water rafting a not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime! Victoria Falls offers many exciting alternatives. Optional Activities: White Water Rafting, Bungee Jump, Elephant Excursion. Included meals: Breakfast.

Medical Precautions
    Anyone participating in an overland expedition, must be in good health. Medical facilities are not readily available in some of the remote areas we visit. All personal prescription medication should be carried with you, together with a copy of the prescription. Your guide should be advised of any existing medical conditions you may have. Clients are strongly advised to take anti-malaria tablets. No vaccinations are prescribed by law by the countries being visited on this tour. We recommend however that you have Hepatitis A, Cholera, Polio and Tetanus vaccinations before visiting countries in Africa outside of South Africa. If you are travelling further north than Victoria Falls, you will require proof of a yellow fever vaccination.

Visa Requirements
    When visiting South Africa for a period of up to 90 days, travellers from Commonwealth countries, Japan, the USA and the European Union do not require a visa. Visitors who intend to work in South Africa must apply for a work permit abroad at the South African Consulate or Embassy. Before departing for South Africa, check with the nearest South African Consulate or Embassy for any possible changes regarding the visa requirements. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from South Africa. Note, Travellers should have a minimum of two blank pages in their passport to enable the entry visa to be issued. If there is insufficient space in the passport entry will be denied. *** When visiting Botswana for a period of up to 90 days, Travellers from the following countries do not require a visa: - All Commonwealth countries - Most European Countries - Israel, South Africa & U.S.A. Before departing for Botswana, check with the nearest Botswana Consulate or Embassy for any possible changes regarding the visa requirements. Visitors are not allowed to obtain visas at point of entry. *** Travellers from the following countries do not require a visa to visit Zimbabwe: Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, USA, European Union Countries (except Portugal & Greece), Japan, Nationals of commonwealth states (except Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka). Most travellers who do require a visa, can obtain this upon arrival in Zimbabwe. Travellers are advised to check the visa-regulations with their local Embassy or Consulate before departing for Zimbabwe. All visitors must carry valid passports. *** All travellers to Zambia should be in the possession of a valid passport, sufficient funds for the stay in Zambia as well as the return journey and a return ticket (when travelling by air). Visas are required by all travellers except nationals from: Antigua, Australia, Barbados, Belize, Bahamas, Botswana, Dominica, Fiji, Grenade, Ireland, Jamaica, Kiribati, Kenya, Lesotho, Malaysia, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Namibia, Nevis, New Zealand, St. Christopher, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad, Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Western Samoa and Zimbabwe. Visas are to be obtained before departure for Zambia. Please note that the visa requirements do change fairly often and travellers are advised to check with their nearest Consulate or Embassy.
