DIRECTIONS TO ISIBINDI ZULU LODGE
From Johannesburg: Take the N3 highway out of Johannesburg to Durban. Pass Heidelberg and just before the tollgate take the off ramp to Villiers. Turn left and then right onto the R103. Stay on this road until seeing the turning (to the left) to Vrede on the R34. Take this turning and proceed ahead, bypassing Brede. Continue on the R34 through Memel and onto Newcastle. Turn right at a T-junction (sign says Ladysmith). Proceed through Newcastle and follow the signs to Dundee/Ladysmith (N11). Proceed on the N11 to Dundee until seeing a turning to your left (says Dundee), take this and you’ll be on the R621. Arrive at a T-junction where the Dannhauser bridge will be on your right and the Shell service station directly in front of you. Turn left to Dundee, still staying on the R621. At the next T-junction, turn left onto the R68 to Dundee. Proceed through the town of Dundee travelling along the Karel Landman Street. Turn left into Victoria Street and at the second traffic light turn right onto the R33 to Greytown (there will be a BP garage on your right on the corner). Travel 44km along this road. Ignore the first 2 Rorke’s Drift turnoffs and continue until seeing the iSibindi Eco-Reserve sign on your left, take this turning and you’ll now be proceeding towards Elandskraal. You are now on a gravel road. Proceed ahead for 14 km. Once you have passed a church and cemetery on your left, take the turning to your left to Rorke’s Drift. If you can see a trading store on your right 'Elandskraal Store' you have gone too far. After 6km you will see the Isibindi Eco-Reserve sign on your left, proceed ahead for 400 m and turn into the large black gates with stone pillars. Continue straight ahead for about 400m until seeing the lodge parking sign, turn left and proceed into the parking area. From Durban : Take the N3 to Pietermaritzburg/Harrismith. At Pietermaritzburg take the Greytown offramp. Be careful not to miss the Greytown turnoff once on the highway. Turn right at the Greytown turning and proceed ahead, you will now be on the R33. Pass through New Hanover and Seven Oaks. Proceed through Greytown and 1 km after the town turn left towards Dundee. You will still be on the R33. You will pass through Tugela Ferry and Pomeroy. 11km after Pomeroy turn right towards Elandskraal.
