Tour Details


Day 1:

Collect your comfortable Europcar rental car at O.R. Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport and make your way to the Mkuze Falls Game Lodge. Detailed maps and directions will be waiting for you in the car when it is collected. The Lodge is situated in the heart of historic Zululand in the South African province of KwaZulu Natal. The Lodge features luxuriously appointed Thatched Chalets, accommodating eighteen guests in utmost comfort and style. All these rooms have a breathtaking view of the river, bush and mountains. Overnight: Mkuze Falls Game Lodge on a Fully Inclusive basis.
Day 2:

The unique ecosystems of riverine, wetland, lowveld bushveld and montane grassland provide the diversity and large quantity of bird and animal species. The Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve is host to an impressive variety of wildlife such as the Big Five, cheetah, hippo, a vast number of plains game and more than 400 species of birds. Overnight: Mkuze Falls Game Lodge on a Fully Inclusive basis.
Day 3:

Enjoy a leisurly breakfast after which you travel back to the KwaZulu Natal coast where your destination is the Zimbali Lodge. The hotel overlooks the incredible Indian Ocean and is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful indigenous gardens. The Zimbali Lodge offers accommodation in individual lodges (2 lodges of 8 rooms and 6 lodges of 10 rooms), located away from the main Lodge and set in magnificent subtropical gardens. Overnight: Zimbali Lodge on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Days 4 to 5:

Spend your day at leisure and enjoy the many facilities available at the Lodge. Enjoy the sun and the splendour of the beach, play tennis on the floodlit tennis courts, enjoy the splendour of this sub-tropical forest with a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll or play golf on the superb 18-hole championship golf course that has been designed specifically for use by golf cart and offers one of the most breathtaking, scenic golf experiences in the world. At the Health & Beauty Spa, guests can treat themselves to the health and luxury they deserve, with a whole range of therapies.
Day 6:

Today, guests will return their car to Durban International Airport where this trip ends.

Visa Requirements
    When visiting South Africa for a period of up to 90 days, travellers from Commonwealth countries, Japan, the USA and the European Union do not require a visa. Visitors who intend to work in South Africa must apply for a work permit abroad at the South African Consulate or Embassy. Before departing for South Africa, check with the nearest South African Consulate or Embassy for any possible changes regarding the visa requirements. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from South Africa. Note, Travellers should have a minimum of two blank pages in their passport to enable the entry visa to be issued. If there is insufficient space in the passport entry will be denied.
