Day 1:
07:50 - 08:30
Register and check-in at The Blue Train Lounge, Pretoria Station. Enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks.

Boarding starts. Butlers usher guests to their suites.
08:50 The Blue Train departes from Pretoria Station.
11:00 - 12:15 First Brunch sitting
12:15 - 13:25 Second Brunch sitting
15:30 - High tea served in the Lounge Car.

The Blue Train arrives at Kimberley station. Guests disembark and assemble at the railway museum from where a bus will be taking them to the centre of Kimberley to join an old tram for a ride down to the mine.

Guests arrive at the Open Mine Museum for a tour of the mine.

Guests depart from the Open Mine Museum for Kimberley station.

The Blue Train departs Kimberley station for Cape Town.

Visa Requirements When visiting South Africa for a period of up to 90 days, travellers from Commonwealth countries, Japan, the USA and the European Union do not require a visa. Visitors who intend to work in South Africa must apply for a work permit abroad at the South African Consulate or Embassy. Before departing for South Africa, check with the nearest South African Consulate or Embassy for any possible changes regarding the visa requirements.
Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from South Africa.
Note, Travellers should have a minimum of two blank pages in their passport to enable the entry visa to be issued. If there is insufficient space in the passport entry will be denied.
