Day 1:
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to The Stanley hotel.
The Stanley has entered its second century by re-adopting its original character. From the moment you enter through the revolving doors, you leave the heat and bustle of the modern Nairobi for a world of cool Victorian elegance.
Dinner this evening is at the Carnivore Restaurant famous for its succulent steaks and barbecue dishes and is an excellent complement to a holiday in Kenya' especially as a welcome meal.
After dinner return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2:
Enjoy an early breakfast in the hotel. Travelling in northerly direction, you'll pass near Thika, and then on through Nanyuki town, a bustling town in the foothills of Africa's second highest mountain, Mount Kenya.
You'll continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee and onward eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly short hop to your lunchtime destination, the luxurious lodge in the Shaba Game Reserve.
Located high above the Samburu River, the Sarova Shaba Lodge cleverly incorporates the beautiful natural springs as one of its special features, and also offers the perfect base from which to explore the Shaba Reserve, as well as its sister reserve - Buffalo Springs to the west (360kms 5.5hrs).
Lunch will be served in the lodge.
Afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve filled with the scenic beauty. The reserve is renowned for its unique animals that include: Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Generuk and the Grevys Zebra among others.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Full day at the Shaba Game Reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles.
In the late afternoon, traditional Samburu dancers will offer an exotic spectacle at the lodge.

Day 4:
After an early breakfast bid farewell to the Shaba Game Reserve as you travel south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until you get to the town of Nanyuki. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237-foot cascade.
After a brief stopover, travel in a southerly direction to your next destination, Lake Nakuru; colored a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. You'll arrive at Lion Hill Lodge affording unforgettable views of the lake from its hillside perch. The Lodge also is a perfect base from where to explore the lake, with its fabulous array of birds as well as many types of game, including waterbuck, rhino, leopard and buffalo (390Kms-6hrs).
Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Nakuru National Park which is, of course, known for its birdlife as thousands of flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other species. But wildlife is also in abundance here. You'll see large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, plains game, cheetah, as well as rhino, as Lake Nakuru National Park has been made a rhino sanctuary.

Day 5:
Early breakfast in the lodge. Leaving flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru behind, you head southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then heading due south, you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasai-land.
You'll travel across the 'breadbasket' of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, to your next destination, Mara Sarova Camp. Arrival around lunchtime.
Located within the boundaries of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, this comfortable luxury camp makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of this corner of Kenya (325kms 5 hrs).
Enjoy an vening game drive in this magnificent game reserve. Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is on (July - September) and millions of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River on their annual trek.
The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready and enjoy yourselves!

Day 6:
Enjoy a day of uninterrupted game drives in this popular reserve renowned for its variety of plains game such as the Wildebeest and Zebra and its majestic predators.

Day 7:
After an early breakfast in the camp, depart the Maasai Mara and head back to Narok, district headquarters of this part of Maasailand and then travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley. Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle, and head up the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II.
You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city in the early afternoon (300kms-4.5hrs)

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
