better infrastructure, affordable with many options.
Southern AfricaExclusive destinations, unique cultures,
Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta.
Eastern Africa

Masai Mara and the Rift Valley.
What does it cost?
Your budget depends on your destination, length of stay, level of luxury and exclusivity. As a general rule game
lodges and safari lodges are more expensive than guest houses,
hotels and bed & breakfasts.

When to go on Safari
Temperatures in Southern Africa are warm to hot year-round. Mid-summer is October to January and winter
June to August.
June to August is preferred by many
Europeans who want to avoid the summer heat; this is also a
good time for game viewing because of dry inland
conditions. You will need to bring warm clothes for the
evenings.
Popular safari areas such as
Kruger Park get
summer rainfall with the
Cape Town area
being the exception with winter rainfall. Often
high season rates for the safari regions
go into effect in
July
so it is sometimes possible to save a bit of money by
traveling prior to that. May and June can be delightful months
for sight seeing and safaris.
