Tour Details
Day 1:
Departing Victoria Falls at 09:30a.m. Our journey takes us through Teak and Mopane forests, local villages and Hwange Town famous for it’s coal mining. We set up camp adjacent to Hwange National Park, this afternoon we visit the Hwange Wild Dog research project and hope to learn more about these misunderstood predators. Hwange is Zimbabwe’s oldest and largest National Park and is home to
approximately 100 animal species and over 400 different types of birds.

Day 2:
After an early start, we spend the day exploring Hwange to see what makes it Zimbabwe’s premier National Park. We spend the day in search of some of Hwange’s wildlife population, including the Big 5 – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Hwange has a diverse landscape from open grassland to Kalahari sand in the southern area of the park to the hillier, heavily wooded areas in the north. We stop off at many of the artificial boreholes/waterholes where herds of game congregate to slake their thirst. Some have viewing platforms where we have the opportunity to stretch our legs and gaze in awe at Africa’s magnificent wildlife. We return to our camp on the boundary of the National Park for Sundown and a well earned rest.

Day 3:
After breakfast we start on our return journey to Victoria Falls. Not far from our camp we call into visit one of the local Community Primary Schools Project. This visit give you the opportunity to interact with the local people and learn how they live, work and school in this wilderness area. From the School we make our way back to Victoria Falls. Here we’ll part ways after having had a brief glimpse of what makes Africa so magical.
